Quinn O. Wynn

Quinn O. Wynn, 84, of DuQuoin, passed away at 6:30 a.m. Friday, January 28, 2000 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in DuQuoin.
Quinn was a retired carpenter, working 35 years in the profession and had worked at the Old Majestic coal mine at DuQuoin for 11 1/2 years.  He attended the First Baptist Church of DuQuoin.  He was a member of the DuQuoin Masonic Lodge, Perry Co. Shrine Club, Ainad Shrine Temple of East St. Louis, Belleville Scottish Rites, Carpenters Union and the UMWA.
He was born February 12, 1915 at Scheller, the son of Marley Benton and Pruda Abigail (Quinn) Wynn.  He married Mable L. Davis Cavins on December 16, 1972 at Pinckneyville and she survives.
He is survived by his wife of DuQuoin; three children, Janet Wagner of DuQuoin, William Wynn and wife Elizabeth of DuQuoin and Exie Doerr of DuQuoin; one step-daughter, Carrie Eubanks and husband Gale of Sesser; a daughter-in-law, Ruth Wynn of DuQuoin; one sister, Pruda George of Tamaroa; two sisters-in-law, Wanda Wynn of Tamaroa and Helen Wynn of DuQuoin; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Charles Wynn; two brothers, Virgil and Gorman Wynn and one sister, Elizabeth Van Rohr.
Funeral services were Sunday, January 30 at 1 p.m. at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin with Rev. Bob Dickerson officiating.
Friends were able to call from 5 until 8 p.m. Saturday at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin.  
Masonic services were Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment was in Sunset Memorial Park at DuQuoin.
Friends may make memorials to the First Baptist Church of DuQuoin building fund.
